Who keeps this archive, and why
A comparison site is only useful if you know exactly whose side it's on. Short answer: the reader's — and here's the longer version.
What this site is
Slot List Archive is an independent editorial project that compares online casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. We are not a casino, we don't run games, we never hold player funds or take part in gameplay in any form, and no operator owns any part of us. The whole operation is reviewing, scoring and filing — the name is literal.
How the money works
The site is affiliate-funded. When a reader clicks through to an operator and opens an account, that operator may pay us a commission from its marketing budget. The commission never comes out of your pocket, and it never buys a score: operators can't pay for placement, can't preview reviews, and several brands we've reviewed pay us nothing at all. The full mechanics are laid out in the affiliate disclosure.
The editorial line
Scores follow the six weighted criteria on the methodology page, with game studios and library depth counting heaviest — because what a casino stocks tells you more than what it advertises. We only file UKGC-licensed operators, we check licences on the public register before every edition, and we'd rather leave a fact out than guess at it.
What we won't do
We don't cover payments, deposits or withdrawals — that's between you and the operator. We don't frame gambling as income; it's entertainment with a cost, and the responsible gambling page lists free UK support for anyone finding it hard to keep it that way. And we don't publish invented statistics, fake testimonials or urgency tricks. If something here reads calm, that's deliberate.
